  1. Prioritize Sleep – In short, stop scrolling Instagram, turn off that show (record it or wait for it to re-run), and get some rest. Your immune system (and early AM wake up calls) will thank you in the morning!
  2. Make Time For Breakfast – You hear it all the time, but it really is the most important meal of the day. Not only dies it satisfy your early morning stomach growls, you’ll have more energy (increased metabolism), avoid weight gain and I mean, who can pass that up?!multitasking_mom
  3. Walk Whenever You Can – We all know how important regular exercise is and that doesn’t mean you have to be lifting weights and going to spin class everyday either. Do it as a team and call your girl after work for a brisk walk, hit the treadmill before work, take the stairs instead of the elevator – whatever you can to get more steps!
  4. Keep Your Values & Goals in Mind – Don’t lost track of your goals and priorities. The daily routine can shift our focus, so it’s up to us to re-focus. Center your daily decisions around if they contribute to or take energy or effort away from your goals & priorities.
  5. Self Care – This one we can’t stress enough – women tend to put others before them all the time, whether that’s for their kids, their spouses, their friends, etc. While heading to the spa or getting your nails done is definitely an act of self-care, don’t downplay the importance of spending time with people who make you happy and full up your spirit. That my friend, is priceless.
  6.  Have Fun – Sounds like probably the most obvious, but believe it or not, you should make a concerted effort to stop, look around and make sure you’re having fun through it all. Whether that’s watching your favorite comedy while drunk, lol, going dancing with you girls on a random night or heading to the fair with your other half. Don’t discount the importance of fun!
